Now presenting the full grades preview for the final quarter of SS2. I’d like to kick off with a chart showing the progress in the average grades per class throughout the entire year.
And now the grades themselves. Consult the bottom of this post for a quick guide on how to calculate your grades. Let’s kick off with the Top 15!

Note for Champaca: Your LT1 grades have been upgraded one step up after Model ASEAN — as promised.
Now a quick guide on how to calculate your grades.
First off, this are the percentage equivalents I use in calculating the letter grades:
And this is the formula we’re using. Just replace the corresponding variables:
0.7(Q+0.3((LT1+LT2)/2)+0.3ASN+0.15PAR)+0.3((PERIO+SYN)/2)
Your ASEAN project grade (ASN) will follow a formula relative to your role in the project. Consult the rubrics included in the project guide I gave out at the beginning. I simply assigned A1-A4 to each component there but take note of the varying weights.
Now a note on the Synthesis Requirements (whether written or oral):
I’ve given a line of ‘A’ to those people who demonstrated confidence, clarity, and originality of thought in their respective work. If our SS2 lessons were a language, in the synthesis exam I looked at what you were actually saying.
If you got an ‘A-’, that means you still need to set a few facts straight. An ‘A’ means you got everything right but to get an ‘A+’, ‘A++’, or even an ‘S’ will require you to be original and even daring. Only one person got an ‘S’ for the synthesis exam. In her paper she showed unparalleled honesty and heart on top of being able to discuss all the issues incredibly intelligently.

Uhm sir I’m confused about my perio score. I’m definitely sure I didn’t get a B+. Just checking.
D12
Double checked. It’s B+.
Holy. Does asterisk stand for ‘it was that bad’? =))
Aww, thought I got an A- D:
sir ano what’s ‘par’
)
sir, bat parang di po naka 1 step up yung lt1 ng dahlia? Or am i just confused?
Sir, what’s ‘par’?
[I got very low at the oral synthesis exam]:((
Hello all!
Bianx, you’re right! Thanks for pointing that out! Turns out that while I’ve applied the one-step-up in the preview I gave before, it hasn’t been applied in the main Excel sheet I use to calculate your grades. Looks like all the sections except Champaca still had their old grades.
No worries though. I have more than enough time to correct them tomorrow. I’ve already done the proper adjustments and the following NINE people will see an adjustment in their final grades:
CAMIA Cadiz 2.25 – 2.00
DAHLIA Celon 1.50 – 1.25
ILANG Balayan 1.75 – 1.50
ILANG Gubalane 1.75 – 1.50
ILANG Racela 1.25 – 1.00
ILANG Marcelo 1.50 – 1.25
ILANG Senatin 1.75 – 1.50
JASMIN Abon 1.25 – 1.00
JASMIN Lapitan 1.75 – 1.50
Thanks again and sorry for the oversight. The adjustments will be made first thing tomorrow.
As for those asking what PAR is, it stands for PARTICIPATION. It is essentially your A2 grade (‘Actual Performance’) from Model ASEAN.
why don’t i see my name there XP
jk
WEH
okay i am officially in love with my synthesis exam score. i have a feeling that if i took the orals i would’ve gotten like six steps lower. .___.
thanks, sir martin.

I agree with you, Jeremy. I hope you guys realize that eventually, there is more to having been my student than getting good grades.
