We’ve been using an edition that has been out of date since 2001. Here’s the new one that was adopted during the term of DepEd secretary Raul Roco:
Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas, aking lupang sinilangan
Tahanan ng aking lahi, kinukupkop ako at tinutulungang
Upang maging malakas, masipag at marangal
Dahil mahal ko ang Pilipinas,
Diringgin ko ang payo ng aking mga magulang,
Susundin ko ang tuntunin ng paaralan,
Tutuparin ko ang tungkulin ng isang mamamayang makabayan,
Naglilingkod, nag-aaral at nagdarasal nang buong katapatan.
Iaalay ko ang aking buhay, pangarap, pagsisikap
Sa bansang Pilipinas.

We’ve been using this version ever since I could remember in Ateneo.
I have to agree with Spyderpig. We’ve used this version since I was in elementary school. That’s why I was so surprised when I went to Pisay.
Pisay alumni here, sir. I was present at the flag ceremony during the first day of class, so I heard everything, from the anthem down to the PSHS Hymn. The way
the Hymn is presently sung was the way it was when I entered PSHS in the early 80s. Then in the course of our stay, they corrected the line “the crests and troughs of the sea of life that flows” , from “troughs” pronounced as “trows” (as in “throws”), into “trofs” , which is the correct pronunciation. If you check out: http://www.memidex.com/troughs#audio, there are 10 different pronunciations of “troughs”, none of which rhymes with “throws”. I hope the school corrects it, kahit na it doesn’t rhyme with “flows”, simply because it’s the right thing to do. Thanks.
